Telecommunication Networks Under Survivability Constraints Sonia Haddad Alexandre Laugier Jean-Fran cois Maurras Abstract We present two models for the following telecommunication network design problem: given point-to-point tra c demands, a network topology and a continuous cost/capacity function for each link, nd the minimum cost capacity satisfying the given demands and the survivability requirements. We reuse the freed resources for rerouting the tra c. When a link fails, each interrupted demand is rerouted between its origin and its destination (global rerouting). Initial routing, rerouting and global capacity are simultaneously optimized. In this paper we describe the highlighted problem, two models and their complexity. Computational results for a set of real world problems will be discuss during the talk.
